Great kit!Perfect fit for my 99 47re. You just leave the plastic piece out. It’s made for the newer 47re’s 2000+. Great kit.

Should of installed this kit 5years ago. 2001Ram 2500hd diesel. After installing the suncost converter and valve body, it pulled better, but upping the trans pressure, it never acted rite. now it shifts like NEW.Best $195.00 upgrade out there.

Firm Shiftsordered for 2004.5 ram 2500, took about 2hours to do as you have to drop the pan and remove the valve body to install. but it was very straight forward to do. I’ve also made a youtube video about the install. The before and after is insanely good. I had shuttle shifting between 2nd and 3rd and this cleared it right up.

Made trans throw code! The product made my trans throw a code and when replaced with OEM parts…… no code!

Great productMy truck started having a hard time downshifting to first gear at a stop. This cured it. Drove about 2K since I did it not had a single shifting issue since then.

Fixed P1757 – Governor PressureInstall went smoothly. Only thing that could have been better was the factory wire connector didn’t seat perfectly into the upgraded pressure transducer, but it did seem adequately secure. Also, you’ll need to look up factory torque specs and get an inch-lb torque wrench.

Long review, worth the read before you drop 230 bucks on a subpar productBeing into the diesel performance world for a couple of years, I have heard BD Diesel name numerous times but never purchase their products. I was getting ready to do a transmission service on my 48re, I decided I would do this BD valve body upgrade. The first kit I got was missing all the instructions and the transducer itself. Even though it was still sealed in the factory packaging. Returned it to Amazon for another kit. The 2nd kit I got was complete, I installed it in the truck and off my smarty touch tuner I instantly knew I dropped about 20 psi of trans pressure. Which is the opposite of what this kit should do. The very next day I noticed my truck was no longer taking off in first gear and seemed to be in limp mode. I did a scan of the computer system and came up with code P0869 which is Governor pressure sensor voltage. I made four attempts to contact BD Diesel customer service. In all four attempts their tech department was busy and I had to leave a call back number (which still to date, two weeks after originally reaching out to them I have yet to receive a call back) the problem ended up being a faulty Governor pressure sensor which is in the kit, but it comes from BorgWarner. So the problem wasn’t really BD Diesel fault. However, it was the part that they installed in their kit and that part was faulty. I ended up going with a DNJ Billet aluminum governor block with the GM Governor pressure sensor. Not only is it $80 cheaper. it’s a far superior product than what BD is offering. *UPDATE* irrelevant but still no return call from BD tech 4 weeks later.

transducer is good – solenoid is problematicthere is a video on how to install the solenoid. it ended up that the solenoid caused my transmission to overheat by 30-70 degrees. I tried clicking it in-place, but the retainer plate wouldn’t allow proper installation without overheating.I finally removed the solenoid from this kit and installed the ATS solenoid kit which used the transducer from this kit. now it finally runs very nicely.I burt tons of time (and ATF) trying to make it right but the problem all along was the solenoid.I would give this kit a 1 star, but the transducer is worth it (which is worth about 60% of this kit)…
